TNPA Rules and Format

TNPA is a 9-hole point system based on the following point structure for each hole:
  • Eagle = 10 Points
  • Birdie = 5 Points
  • Par = 2 Points
  • Bogie = 1 Point
  • Double Bogie or worse = 0 Points

If a player has played in the TNPA at least 5 times within the current year, or from the previous year, their point quota will be calculated by taking the running average of weekly point scores of the current year, or the average from the previous year. Once the player has a score in the current year, their point total is based upon the current scores as well as the average from the previous year (which counts as one score).

If a player does not have 5 scores documented, the point average will be determined by taking the player's 18 hole course handicap and subtracting that from 36, then dividing that number by two (we are playing 9 holes) and adding 1 (Secret Committe Adjustment).

Example: Leroy Jackson: 14 Handicap
36-14 = 22; 22/2 = 11; 11+1 = 12 Points

The object then is to achieve both individually and as a team more points that "what you are shooting at". You play your own ball through all nine holes. **Please log in to view more details on scoring.

Both your team's and your individual points are then compared to the other teams and individuals that have played that night.

Sign-ups are to be completed by 5:30 PM on Thursday and play begins at 6:00 PM. Format is Shotgun Start and is played on the back nine holes at The Royal Triple C.
